2016 Mark Paben Scholarship Application

Former TMA Northwest Chapter member Mark Paben, a partner at the law firm of K&L Gates and a leader and member of numerous arts and community organizations, passed away in 2007 at the age of 51.  Mark was a frequent speaker in the United States and abroad on insolvency and cross-border financing issues.  He was as committed to his community as he was to his law firm and legal practice.  In remembrance of Mark, the Northwest Chapter has initiated an Annual Scholarship program which will help support the higher-education needs of TMA-Northwest member families.

Eligible applicants are limited to individuals whom are currently enrolled in an accredited University. Additionally, all applicants must be related to a current TMA-Northwest Chapter member in good standing. Related could be son, daughter, niece, nephew, etc.  The Chapter will award two $1,000 scholarships (preferably one to a U.S. applicant and one to a Canadian applicant).  Please refer to the attached application for further details.

Applications must be submitted to the TMA Northwest Administrator (northwestchapter@turnaround.org) by August 1, 2016.  Recipients will be selected and notified by September 1, 2016.

We are pleased to present this opportunity to the families of the TMA Northwest Chapter as a tribute to Mark Paben.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors
