Jason L. Weiner, TMA Detroit nextGen Chapter President

TMA nextGen? What's that? Should I get involved? There's a TMA nextGen Board? What does the TMA nextGen Board do?
These are questions that we, as TMA nextGen Board Members, hear far too often. Our goal with this Newsletter edition is to answer some of those questions and put our current nextGen Board Members in the spotlight - with the hopes of growing our membership by attracting new nextGen members, and encouraging current nextGen members to become more involved by taking on leadership roles in the organization.
TMA nextGen is focused on being the top program for young professionals involved in transactional services, including legal, corporate restructuring, turnaround management, private equity, accounting and assurance services, consulting, investment banking, commercial and asset based lending, distressed investing, and other financial services. Our goal is to provide a platform for the next generation of leaders in the community to network with like-minded peers at social events and attend high quality educational events targeted to young professionals.
TMA nextGen members have incredible leadership opportunities - including organizing nextGen and TMA-wide events, joining and chairing committees, and joining the nextGen Board. TMA nextGen members also have the opportunity to develop new business relationships and manage existing relationships in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, without pressure from the presence of senior partners. No other professional organization provides the same level of opportunity to meet other young professionals from all of the above industry segments in one place.
I joined TMA in 2010 when I began practicing law. Over the years, I have taken advantage of TMA and TMA nextGen leadership opportunities, including organizing and leading social and educational events, joining the nextGen Board, and chairing committees on the nextGen Board. I am humbled and honored to now serve as the TMA nextGen President, and hope that this nextGen Board can continue building our Detroit nextGen Chapter.
Below please find bios for all of our outstanding nextGen Board Members. If you or your colleagues have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or any other nextGen Board Member.
