Are we really in December already?! I hope everyone had a chance to relax over the Thanksgiving break after a very busy and exciting fall. So busy, I have two months' worth of events to tell you about!
Our NextGen group hosted A Road Map for a Young Professional's Personal Wealth and Estate Management/Planning, From Entry Level through Retirement. Chaired by Keara Waldron, the event was a great success.
Thanks to Michael M. Albanese for moderating, and to all our panelists: Ed Gaelick, CLU, ChFC, Managing Member, PSI Consultants, LLC;Benjamin Lehrhoff, Vice President, Bernstein; andPatrick Morris, ChFC, CLU - AXA Advisors.
Later in the month the tireless Jane Mitnick chaired the Joint NJTMA/NYIC/IWIRC Non-Profit Panel called It's Complicated: Addressing Issues Concerning Distressed Non-Profits. I did my best to moderate and was helped along by an outstanding panel: the Honorable Christine M. Gravelle, Judge, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey; Andrew H. Sherman, Member, Sills, Cummis & Gross, P.C.; and Nicole Stefanelli, Counsel, Lowenstein Sandler LLP.
"This was a really interactive event with a lot of participation," Janey reports. "I think people found value in the discussions and advice of the experts on the panel. Plus we always enjoy being back at Maplewood Country Club."
In November, we had a great networking breakfast at Cole Schotz chaired by Bob Schnitzer. We also had an extremely successful joint event with IWIRC, NJSBA, NJFBBA & NYIC. The event honored the appointments of several judges to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as a special honor for the Hon. Rosemary Gambardella for serving 30 years on the court.

January 13, 2016 - Mark your calendar for the most popular event of the year, our Holiday Party! This year it will be at Nanina's In the Park in Belleville, starting at 5:30. January 27, 2016 - Our popular Super Networking Event will be held in a new location: the Metropolitan Room at The Newark Club in Newark. Just two weeks before the big game, join your colleagues from five other TMA chapters and many industry groups for the networking party of the year with cocktails, light dinner, giveaways and silent auction. Dress is casual and football jerseys are encouraged. You can find all the details here.
