In 2019, the TMA Annual Conference in Cleveland highlighted the best of TMA. Drawing a record number of attendees, we created a conference experience that set the standard for future TMA conferences. We showcased the best of who we are through education, networking, our international presence, and our TMA NOW and TMA NextGen communities.
This year's TMA Annual Conference, slated for late September, has been shaping up as one of the most engaged and connected opportunities we have ever had. And it will be exactly that. This year, however, instead of gathering in Boston as originally planned, the TMA Annual experience will be virtual. Be assured, it will be no less exciting, interesting, impactful, and important.
We're calling it "IMPACT 2020: The TMA Annual Experience." The decision to move this year's Annual Experience to a virtual platform was not an easy one, and was made after consideration of restrictions which would have made the in-person experience most limiting. In our pivot to a virtual conference, however, our Annual Planning Committee will now have the ability to create a multimedia experience like no other.
A virtual TMA Annual may seem less than ideal. But in reality, it gives us a unique opportunity to bring to our worldwide members opportunities that will surpass what we would have been able to offer in a live conference setting this year.
We will still have top-notch, timely education. We will have unique networking opportunities and creative programming focused on new and unique ways of bringing people together. Our TMA Annual sponsors will be offered greater visibility and enhanced opportunities through our virtual platform.
Despite the pandemic, TMA continues to be #BetterTogether and will emerge even stronger. And as we navigate uncharted waters, be assured that TMA will create a certain, strong, and empowering Annual Experience.
Stay tuned for more details on the TMA 2020 Annual Experience. It will be remembered as yet another milestone of greatness for an organization that continues to redefine connectivity and support of each other.
