Passing the Torch - New Co-chairs to lead NJTMA NOW
 
Congratulations to Sari B. Placona, Esq., of McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC and Nicole Fulfree, Esq., of Lowenstein Sandler LLP, who will be taking the helm of the NJTMA NOW Committee as Co-chairs. Both Sari and Nicole have been strong contributors to NJTMA and supporters of TMA’s Network of Women. We can look forward to exciting new programming as we leave the committee in their capable hands.

Nicole Fulfree is of Counsel with Lowenstein Sandler LLP and represents debtors, creditors' committees, trustees, individual creditors, and institutional shareholders and investors in a variety of complex bankruptcy matters. Her extensive experience, earned in part by working on three major coal industry bankruptcies, translates into a clear understanding of the right strategies for clients seeking to restructure. From litigating adversary proceedings and other contested matters to representing class action plaintiffs within both the Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 contexts, Nicole brings strategic judgment to bear in developing optimal solutions.

Sari B. Placona is an Associate with McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC and concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, restructuring and bankruptcy. Her experience with out-of-court workouts, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, Chapter 7, and Chapter 11 proceedings provides her a strong understanding of the best situation for her clients.  Sari is a pro bono attorney and a junior advisory board member for Partners for Women and Justice, a non-profit organization that provides free legal help in New Jersey to low income, abused victims of domestic violence. For the past two years she has served on the NJTMA Next Gen Committee. She is also involved in other leadership roles with women organizations.
