Coronavirus Protection and Control

TMA Global is committed to providing our members with the appropriate tools and resources to respond to the growing concerns resulting from the reported cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. We are here to keep you aware of developments and resources offered by industry organizations and health professionals.

TMA is also committed to delivering its scheduled education programming and networking events. As this remains a fluid situation, should you have any questions regarding programming at the chapter level, please reach out to chapter leaders directly. We will keep membership apprised of any changes in scheduling for TMA Global programming should circumstances warrant. At this point in time, all events sponsored by TMA Global (including the TMA NOW Summit) are scheduled to proceed as planned.

The following are some useful reminders to help reduce your risk of contracting communicable diseases, including COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing 60-95% alcohol
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and dispose of your used tissue in a wastebasket; if you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Keep your work environment clean, using basic cleaning and disinfecting products when necessary

Following these basic guidelines is our best line of defense against communicable diseases at this time when attending TMA meetings and engagements. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates and additional guidance as necessary.
