PHOENIX, AZ – Fennemore Craig, a leading law firm in the Mountain West, today announced Cathy L. Reece, a director based out of the firm’s Phoenix office, was elected to serve as the treasurer for the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (the College).
The College is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the field of commercial finance law through education, legislative reform and the recognition of distinguished practitioners, jurists and academics. Founded in 1991, the College brings together highly qualified members of the legal profession and offers a venue to promote and recognize outstanding achievement and advances in the field of commercial finance law.
“As the chair of the financial restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice group at Fennemore Craig, I am driven by helping clients successfully navigate challenging and complex commercial finance transactions. I have dedicated my career to this discipline, including holding leadership positions at, and actively participating in, highly regarded professional organizations, such as the College,” said Cathy Reece. “I am excited and honored to serve as the treasurer for the College and am looking forward to continuing to advance its mission.”
Cathy was inducted as a Fellow into the College in 2013 and has served on the Board Regents for several years. She also has chaired the New Members Nomination Committee. In addition to her work with the College, she has held a variety of leadership positions at state and national associations related to bankruptcy, commercial finance and corporate renewal and has received numerous industry recognitions, including being named in Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Benchmark’s Top 250 Women in Litigation and one of the Most Influential Women in Arizona Business.
