Message from Allen Wilen
You've heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? Well, when it's a NJTMA networking breakfast, it's even more important! It's a great way to start the day and connect with colleagues who could bring you your next deal. Looking forward to seeing you at the next one on November 3rd in Hackensack!
I have several good news items to share with you this month. NJTMA recently received some great acknowledgement. We were selected as the recipient of the Operational Excellence (Mid-Size Chapter) award by the Global Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Each year, TMA recognizes chapters that distinguish themselves in several areas. We were recognized for our focus on an educational mission, engaging the next generation of corporate renewal professionals, and giving back to the local community. Jane Mitnick and I were honored to accept the award at the 2015 TMA Annual in Scottsdale. It's a testament to your tireless work and strong support, and I thank you.
Additionally, National was looking for a professional with a unique background, and I recommended Michelle Aurich, one of our NextGen co-chairs. They ended up profiling her in the most recent Journal of Corporate Renewal. Learn more about how she got into the restructuring business, her background, and her most gratifying case. You can see the entire article here on page 48. Another great example of how being involved opens up great opportunities.
