Message from Allen Wilen
Let's say goodbye to the summer heat but not to the hot topics NJTMA continually addresses. This August it was the NJTMA Women's Division and Gibbons Women's Initiative co-hosting the "Inside Look at the Restructuring Industry: A Discussion among Professional Women" panel.
It was moderated by Karen A. Giannelli, Chair, Gibbons Financial Restructuring & Creditors' Rights Department and held at Gibbons offices. The panelists discussed practical advice, success stories, the role of mentors in their careers, how to promote other women in the industry, and trials and tribulations faced throughout their careers.
"We had great attendance and a successful program," Karen reports. "The panelists were from a very diverse background which made the evening very interesting. Attendees, even those not in restructuring, were very interested hearing the panelists' stories about their trials and tribulations and getting to where they are now."
