SIVYER STEEL CORPORATION Navigating through Troubled Waters to a Safe Harbor for Stakeholders
This year’s Turnaround of the Year award will be presented to Turning Point Management Advisors for its work on the Sivyer Steel Corporation matter. From 2016-2019, Turning Point Management Advisors led turnaround efforts for this Iowa-based steel casting company affected by a global downturn in the mining industry.
Turning Point was approached by the Bank to assess the viability of the company, which had a significant effect on the local economy (described in a press release as a “regional economic engine”). Turning Point’s efforts spanned 2016-2019, and to complement the work of its turnaround team, guided the company through a successful 363 sale process with the new company re-employing all employees.
