Europe is facing minimal economic growth which is nevertheless being jeopardized by huge challenges with international political instability. With this in mind, it appears there is an all-important ‘back to values’ approach where the culture of the ‘old Europe’ may give strong results and a solid basis of any economic growth. The European economy sees a high presence of SMEs and TMA Europe wants to cast a spotlight on this group of companies which support and create positive development.

The 2016 TMA Europe conference in Rome, Italy entitled “Increasing performance through turnaround culture and values - a focus on SMEs”, is a must for all turnaround practitioners, investors and other professionals that are involved in distressed environments.
The speakers and participants will discuss the economic business environment in Europe and highlight the importance of SMEs in Europe, focussing on lucrative areas of potential investment for the entire global investment community.

There will also be several panels that debate various turnaround topics, insolvency and turnaround legislation in various European countries from North to South. In addition to some real life examples, we will also discuss NPLs and debate the issues that affect the whole of Europe.

The conference venue will be the beautiful and luxurious Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome, which was inaugurated in 1865 and quickly became famous as a meeting point for travellers, aristocrats, Ambassadors, artists, political dignitaries and rulers when visiting Rome. Situated in the centre of the city, the hotel is walking distance to all the most beautiful and impressive monuments and major sights of Rome.

As Co-chairs, we encourage feedback and comments as well as active participation from all participants in order for all of us to learn even more from our profession.

The conference is also a unique opportunity to build networks with turnaround professionals from around the world and there will be ample opportunities to meet new people during the pre-conference dinner, lunch and breaks.

This year, for the first time, TMA NOW (Network of Women) will gather at the TMA Europe conference with a ‘networking hour’ right before the pre-conference dinner and welcome drinks.
