The TMA NOW Committee hosted a Brown Bag Luncheon on February 11 at the offices of Freeborn & Peters, LLP. This was the first TMA NOW event of the year, and it was a smashing success, with more than 45 registered attendees.

The event was titled “Crafting Your Elevator Pitch” and the format allowed participants to practice formulating and delivering a two-to-three minute introduction to effectively communicate who they are, what they do and how they may assist, cross-refer or work together professionally. Ian Turvill, chief marketing officer of Freeborn & Peters, LLP and Lynne Franklin of Lynne Franklin Wordsmith laid the ground work on how to develop a concise and clear elevator pitch that will leave a powerful first impression on potential clients and business associates. This event was informative and also created a great atmosphere for networking.

This event was coordinated by the following committee members: Tina Hughes from High Ridge Partners, Inc. (Committee Chairperson), Shelly DeRousse from Freeborn & Peters, LLP, Debbie Sill from North Mill Capital, LLC, Elizabeth Janczak from Freeborn & Peters, LLP, and Anjanette Winners from BMO Harris Bank.

All proceeds were donated to the Cook County Domestic Violence Clinic.
