Applications for the Butler-Cooley Excellence in Teaching Award are currently closed.

Established in 2004 with a grant from the John Wm. Butler Foundation, Inc., the Butler-Cooley Excellence in Teaching Award honors teachers who have demonstrated their capacity to change the outcome of students’ lives and communities where they teach. Two teachers each receive a $5,000 cash prize and up to $1,000 USD in travel, hotel arrangements, and meals while on-site for The TMA Annual.
